Bayfood’s Top 10 Restaurants of the Decade

Instead of doing a top ten list of places I ate in the year like I usually do, I thought I’d go all out and do a decade long round up of some of my favorite posts on the blog! Bayfood has technically been around since 2010, back when it was a really casual Tumblr [...]

Matcha Bar (Los Angeles, CA)

Matcha Bar (Los Angeles, CA)

Matchabar (Los Angeles, CA) - I went to the ~cool~ part of Los Angeles, which is the now increasingly gentrified, hipster area known as Silverlake. After we had a really great brunch (which will be posted soon on this blog), we walked around for a bit, exploring a few shops and seeing this really cool [...]

Museum of Ice Cream (Los Angeles, CA)

Museum of Ice Cream (Los Angeles, CA) - I managed to snag tickets to the Museum of Ice Cream in L.A. (Of course a couple of weeks before it was announced that it was coming to SF), so I got a whole fun weekend trip out of it! Usually that's what happens when we go [...]

Homemade Eggslut: Coddled Eggs & Potato Purée

I've talked about Eggslut before - I still drool when I think about it tbh. It's one of the many food options in Downtown Los Angeles' Grand Central Market. The line may wrap around their food stand, but trust, it's worth it. My egg sandwich was AMAZING and everyone, of course, enjoys the "slut". Since [...]

Salt & Straw (Los Angeles, CA)

SALT & STRAW (Los Angeles, CA) - So happy there’s a Salt & Straw in Los Angeles - it means I finally got to try this epic ice cream place! Salt & Straw has been on my list for a long time. I do plan to go to Portland sometime, but at least I got a taste [...]

IT ME

A Bay Area native encountering food from all over the Bay Area (and more on occasion!). I watch far too much TV for my own good, spend too many hours on the internet looking at clothes, memes, and Wikipedia, laugh a little too hard at celebrity gossip, drool at pictures of food and travel that my friends post on Facebook & Instagram, and sleep at the worst times possible.

I’m still working on perfecting my latte art, but my morning routine is essential while working from home. A big part of that is my morning coffee. It sounds corny, but the act of making a hot (or iced!) latte at my home cafe before settling down at my desk really sets the tone for the day. ⁣
Celebrated Lunar New Year with my niece and nephew last week! It was so fun seeing them dressed up in their hanbok, getting envelopes, and eating Korean food. Oh and eating too many of those colorful sweet rice cake balls. 🍡

A whole 2022 recap is a lot of work so here’s what some of what I ate in the fall/winter. 🍴
Very much looking forward to the end of 2022. 🥳⁣
August and September were good 🍴
