I live in the Bay Area and I like food.
Eid Mubarak!! ✨🐑 I feel like most people know about Eid al-Fitr which marks the end of Ramadan, but there’s another Eid we celebrate called Eid al-Adha. This Eid both marks the end of Hajj, the Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca and commemorates Prophet Ibrahim’s (Abraham’s) faithfulness to God after being tested with the unfulfilled command to sacrifice his son. Before Abraham could sacrifice his son, however, God provided a lamb to sacrifice instead. This is why you’ll see a lot of people use lamb and sheep emojis + memes during this Eid!
Wow I really thought I could make a blog post with these photos - the quality 💀 But I did have a good meal at Palm House! These are most definitely pre-pandemic from a couple of birthdays ago. No regrets on sacrificing photo quality for good food and good company. Swipe through to see the meal! 🌴
I tried really hard to think of a good pun, but they were all pretty lame so here's some emojis 🍩 🧇
A photo dump as the youthz say, because I never posted these to my stories after Eid weekend. 💀 Featuring pretty Eid cookies, oat milk coffee ice cream, Mediterranean bowls, the last people on Earth to make TikTok pasta, and Georgetown cupcakes. 🧁
Very much looking forward to cooling off with leftover ice cream (unfortunately, not from Salt and Straw) in the freezer. 🍦 ☀️
Today was very much a Monday, even though it was a beautiful day (bracing myself for the heat wave). I wish I had this latte from @tonocoffeeproject to get through the start of the week! I finally had an opportunity to stop by last week when I was in the area - and I'm so glad I did. Their ordering window is so cute and so is the little courtyard space. Their drinks menu is super simple - with oat milk or without or get chocolate milk with coffee. I ordered a latte and salted chocolate chip cookie from @thepastrycat916 to go.
