Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery (Seattle, WA)

Hot Cakes Molten Chocolate Cakery (Seattle, WA) - With a name like that, you bet I had to go look it up even though I had a feeling it would end up on my itinerary. Weirdly, I really like lava cakes (the'd randomly serve them at my old workplace for dessert frequently), so I'm glad [...]

Sawyer (Seattle, WA)

Sawyer (Seattle, WA)

Sawyer (Seattle, Washington) - I don’t want to say this was the highlight in terms of food during my Seattle trip, but it was. Their food AND their service was fantastic. If this was a Yelp review, I’d give them 5 stars (which I rarely do) - and I will after I make this blog [...]

Hi-Top Coffee (Fresno, CA)

Hi-Top Coffee (Fresno, CA) - Slowly but surely Fresno’s getting just a little bit cooler with new spots popping up downtown. When Hi-Top first opened and my family checked it out, I knew I had to go there - except it took months for me to finally get there since it never worked out during [...]

What to Do in Washington D.C.: A Guide

Washington D.C. is one of my favorite cities. After visiting it for the first time in 2010, I ended up spending a summer in D.C. interning at the Department of State. It was such a cool experience getting to live and explore a new city - and I got to spend a lot of time [...]

72 Hours in New Orleans – a Weekend Guide

I didn’t know what to expect when I went to New Orleans, to be honest. All I really knew was that New Orleans had Cajun and Creole food, Mardi Gras on Bourbon Street is a big thing there, and that it had a French influence. There’s definitely that but so much more! It’s such an [...]

IT ME

A Bay Area native encountering food from all over the Bay Area (and more on occasion!). I watch far too much TV for my own good, spend too many hours on the internet looking at clothes, memes, and Wikipedia, laugh a little too hard at celebrity gossip, drool at pictures of food and travel that my friends post on Facebook & Instagram, and sleep at the worst times possible.

I’m still working on perfecting my latte art, but my morning routine is essential while working from home. A big part of that is my morning coffee. It sounds corny, but the act of making a hot (or iced!) latte at my home cafe before settling down at my desk really sets the tone for the day. ⁣
Celebrated Lunar New Year with my niece and nephew last week! It was so fun seeing them dressed up in their hanbok, getting envelopes, and eating Korean food. Oh and eating too many of those colorful sweet rice cake balls. 🍡

A whole 2022 recap is a lot of work so here’s what some of what I ate in the fall/winter. 🍴
Very much looking forward to the end of 2022. 🥳⁣
August and September were good 🍴
