B Street & Vine (San Mateo, CA) – In search of a place to meet up with a few of my friends after a monotonous day at work, we settled on B Street & Vine. It was a midpoint for the both of us, and after being told that this was a place that had a bunch of different bruschettas, I was sold!

I’m glad that you can make reservations for smaller groups, which is what I did for our group of 3. It wasn’t too full when we got there around 6 or 7 in the evening and there’s a parking garage pretty close by. There’s also this outdoor patio space in the back, but we decided to stay indoors. I do kinda wish we went outside since it was the summer, but oh well. It’s another reason to come back!

Though our main goal was to eat a bunch of bruschettas and catch up, we did order a couple of other things to share as well. One of which was the Raspberry Chicken Salad, with chicken, pecans, pears, gorgonzola and tomato, avocado served with fat-free raspberry vinaigrette over a bed of fresh greens. I would probably stick to the bruschettas or other entrees in the future, just because we ended up eating those more that there wasn’t enough room to finish this salad.

Onto the main attraction! You can order a set of 4 bruschetta toasts and it ranges from $15-$19. Some of the toasts have more premium toppings and you can also get gluten-free toasts, which also raises the price. Overall though, I think it’s a pretty good deal. From the top to bottom we ordered: Brie with Apples; Hummus, Tomato, and Avocado; Salmon, Chives, Capers, Mascarpone; and Mango, Tomato, Avocado. These were all so delightfully delicious! I think my favorites were the brie and apple – it’s such a great combination of savory and sweet – and the Mango, Tomato, Avocado – this one is so refreshing and buttery with the avocado.

We also ordered a grilled cheese panini since one of my friends was feeling really hungry, lol. This was also really good since it was nice and crispy and filled with amazing gooey cheese!

This is a great place to pop in with friends and spend a nice evening catching up over delicious bites! I hope to come back again one of these days for another chill evening like this. 🙂
