Concord Comfort Food Week 2020

Concord Comfort Food Week 2020

I'm going to be honest - I don't venture further north of Berkeley very often. I've been to Concord a handful of times, so I was excited to explore a new city and see what kind of food it has to offer. And what better time than during Concord's Comfort Food Week? I am always [...]

Locol (San Jose, CA)

Locol (San Jose, CA) - Of course I know about Roy Choi and the Kogi truck. I've read his memoir and I've been to A-Frame. So, I feel like I have some barometer of how delicious his food can be. When Locol was going to open in the Bay Area, I was really excited that [...]

Winter is Coming – Prepare for Game of Thrones

Finally, after all this waiting, the Game of Thrones premiere is just a couple of days away! I, for one, cannot wait and am refreshing my memory by watching the last season as I'm typing this. An epic show like this requires snackage, and I've come up with a few goodies to keep you filled [...]

Eureka Burger (Berkeley, CA)

EUREKA! (Berkeley, CA) - I’ve been to Eureka a couple of times already and I’ve had a great experience every time. The first time I went, it was right before I started a couple of internships up in Berkeley. It was pretty empty when I came in on a weekday afternoon, so it was nice [...]

House Tyrell Chickpea Lentil Sliders

It took me forever to decide what to make for Game of Thrones. I got really sucked into the show last year and binge watched just in time for the finale that year. It most definitely has its problems, but aside from the action, I feel like I’m watching with sick fascination at how horrible [...]

IT ME

A Bay Area native encountering food from all over the Bay Area (and more on occasion!). I watch far too much TV for my own good, spend too many hours on the internet looking at clothes, memes, and Wikipedia, laugh a little too hard at celebrity gossip, drool at pictures of food and travel that my friends post on Facebook & Instagram, and sleep at the worst times possible.

I’m still working on perfecting my latte art, but my morning routine is essential while working from home. A big part of that is my morning coffee. It sounds corny, but the act of making a hot (or iced!) latte at my home cafe before settling down at my desk really sets the tone for the day. ⁣
Celebrated Lunar New Year with my niece and nephew last week! It was so fun seeing them dressed up in their hanbok, getting envelopes, and eating Korean food. Oh and eating too many of those colorful sweet rice cake balls. 🍡

A whole 2022 recap is a lot of work so here’s what some of what I ate in the fall/winter. 🍴
Very much looking forward to the end of 2022. 🥳⁣
August and September were good 🍴
