Sawyer (Seattle, WA)

Sawyer (Seattle, WA)

Sawyer (Seattle, Washington) - I don’t want to say this was the highlight in terms of food during my Seattle trip, but it was. Their food AND their service was fantastic. If this was a Yelp review, I’d give them 5 stars (which I rarely do) - and I will after I make this blog [...]

Skillet’z Cafe (Fremont, CA)

Skillet'z Cafe (Fremont, CA) - I meant to go hang out in Berkeley today with my friends to eat some Southern food - before we all go back to work - but instead we found ourselves in Niles. We ran late (which really means I ran late), so we made our way to Skillet'z, where we [...]

Schoolhouse Restaurant & Tavern (Sanger, CA) - I was in the Fresno area for my uncle's birthday, which of course requires going out to dinner. My family is a big fan of going out to eat. They made a reservation at Schoolhouse, a restaurant in Sanger. Schoolhouse focuses on New American cuisine, making sure to [...]

Driftwood Kitchen (Laguna Beach, CA)

Driftwood Kitchen (Laguna Beach, CA) - During the weekend that we attended my cousin's wedding reception, the families went out to brunch the day after. This place was literally right next to where we were staying, so close that we all just walked over there. Driftwood Kitchen is the #1 brunch spot in Laguna, and [...]

Macy’s Culinary Council with Marcus Samuelsson

As you saw in one of my earlier posts, I was given the opportunity to partner up with Macy's Culinary Council and got to cover their event with Marcus Samuelsson in San Rafael. I didn't know what to expect outside of the fact that he would be there cooking food and that we attendees would [...]

IT ME

A Bay Area native encountering food from all over the Bay Area (and more on occasion!). I watch far too much TV for my own good, spend too many hours on the internet looking at clothes, memes, and Wikipedia, laugh a little too hard at celebrity gossip, drool at pictures of food and travel that my friends post on Facebook & Instagram, and sleep at the worst times possible.

A little chand raat at home ✨🌙 Chand Raat (which literally translates to “Moon Night”) is the night before Eid where people check to see if the new moon’s arrived - signaling that Ramadan is ending and Eid is here. In Pakistan and other South Asian countries, women will put mehndi on and do their last minute prep such as making dessert for the next day!
