District Donuts Sliders Brew (New Orleans, LA) – I love donuts. District Donuts was another spot I saw on multiple travel lists. So naturally, I added it to the itinerary!

District Donuts is on Magazine Street, which is another trendy strip in NOLA with good restaurants and shops. Every area seems to have its own charm, and Magazine Street rises to the occasion. The line may seem long, but it moves pretty quickly. Though we only came for donuts (we had other dinner plans later in the evening), they also have sliders and of course, brew.

The flavors rotate throughout the year, so there’s always something to try. We ordered several different flavors. Since we were a big group, we bought a couple of donuts and decided to sample them all, that way everyone could try several donuts without having to eat several whole donuts, lol. Although it is tempting to eat the whole thing by yourself!

The first box (going clockwise from the top left) had Salted Caramel, NOLA Cream, (I believe) their Beignet donut, and Raspberry Cheesecake. Aside from Salted Caramel, all of them were filled with a cream or custard, and it was delicious. They just taste like old school, classic donuts but with new twists and better flavor.

The donut drizzled with raspberry syrup and has a cute, little raspberry on it is the Lemon Raspberry. That came in handy as my breakfast for the next couple of days. It was light and airy and had the right combination of both of the flavors.

At the very end was the coolest looking donut, Cereal and Milk. I don’t quite know how to describe it, but it really did feel like I was bitting into a bowl of Fruity Pebbles, if that makes sense. Kind of like those cereal bars, but it doesn’t have some strange aftertaste or anything. Just a delicious, cereal-y donut.
