Rooh (San Francisco, CA)

Rooh (San Francisco, CA) - It's a little weird writing about this pre-COVID experience a year later, but here we are. Rooh was one of my last fine dining experiences before the pandemic, so it feels bittersweet writing this! I miss eating at restaurants! Before I had to start working from home, I was working [...]

Bayfood’s Top 10 Restaurants of the Decade

Instead of doing a top ten list of places I ate in the year like I usually do, I thought I’d go all out and do a decade long round up of some of my favorite posts on the blog! Bayfood has technically been around since 2010, back when it was a really casual Tumblr [...]

Wursthall (San Mateo, CA)

Wursthall (San Mateo, CA) - Apparently when you come home to the Bay from New York, you go eat German food. That’s what my friend wanted to do when we met up for dinner with her while she was back in town for a weekend. More accurately, she’s a big fan of food scientist and [...]

Skillet’z Cafe (Fremont, CA)

Skillet'z Cafe (Fremont, CA) - I meant to go hang out in Berkeley today with my friends to eat some Southern food - before we all go back to work - but instead we found ourselves in Niles. We ran late (which really means I ran late), so we made our way to Skillet'z, where we [...]

Cascal (Mountain View, CA)

Cascal (Mountain View, CA) - I headed here one day after work with a few of my co-workers - it was one of our former co-worker's birthday and we thought it would be great to celebrate over Happy Hour priced tapas! I realized when I got here that I've actually been here (...like 7 years [...]

IT ME

A Bay Area native encountering food from all over the Bay Area (and more on occasion!). I watch far too much TV for my own good, spend too many hours on the internet looking at clothes, memes, and Wikipedia, laugh a little too hard at celebrity gossip, drool at pictures of food and travel that my friends post on Facebook & Instagram, and sleep at the worst times possible.

I’m still working on perfecting my latte art, but my morning routine is essential while working from home. A big part of that is my morning coffee. It sounds corny, but the act of making a hot (or iced!) latte at my home cafe before settling down at my desk really sets the tone for the day. ⁣
Celebrated Lunar New Year with my niece and nephew last week! It was so fun seeing them dressed up in their hanbok, getting envelopes, and eating Korean food. Oh and eating too many of those colorful sweet rice cake balls. 🍡

A whole 2022 recap is a lot of work so here’s what some of what I ate in the fall/winter. 🍴
Very much looking forward to the end of 2022. 🥳⁣
August and September were good 🍴
