RITUAL COFFEE ROASTERS (San Francisco, CA) – I will always be thankful to Ritual Coffee for being open on New Year’s Day. I spent the day in the city on the first day of the year with family – but of course, a lot of things were cold. And it was chilly. So after we managed to find a taqueria open for burritos, we walked a few windy blocks over to Ritual Coffee.
While a couple of us got coffee, more of us got hot chocolate, just because were cold and pretty full from our filling lunch. Ritual is a much larger coffee shop inside than I thought. It’s really bright and airy, with plenty of space to sit and socialize or get some work done.
The hot chocolate was really good – it wasn’t artificially sweet like some shops make it and it wasn’t so rich in cocoa that it was bitter. I didn’t really have to add too much sugar to it, which I think is always a positive indicator of a good drink.
