Bayfood’s Top 10 Restaurants of the Decade

Instead of doing a top ten list of places I ate in the year like I usually do, I thought I’d go all out and do a decade long round up of some of my favorite posts on the blog! Bayfood has technically been around since 2010, back when it was a really casual Tumblr [...]

What to Do in Washington D.C.: A Guide

Washington D.C. is one of my favorite cities. After visiting it for the first time in 2010, I ended up spending a summer in D.C. interning at the Department of State. It was such a cool experience getting to live and explore a new city - and I got to spend a lot of time [...]

Bayfood’s Top Ten Places to Eat in 2018

Since 2010, I’ve created a top ten list of the restaurants that were the most memorable to me out of the places I’ve posted about over the past year. This year’s list has a pretty even mix of the East Coast and the Bay, with a likely surprise in the number one spot. Who doesn’t [...]

China Chilcano (Washington D.C.)

China Chilcano (Washington D.C.)

China Chilcano (Washington D.C.) - I've had Peruvian food. I've had Chinese food. And I've had Japanese food. But all of it together? I was intrigued. China Chilcano is a José Andrés restaurant that has a unique take on Peruvian food by celebrating its multi-cultural cuisines. South America is unique in that it's had different [...]

Jaleo (Washington D.C.)

Jaleo (Bethesda, Maryland)  - Of course I've heard great things about José Andrés and his restaurants over the years. So, when I was coming to D.C., I knew I really wanted to try his food - especially after seeing all of the amazing efforts he's lead in helping Puerto Rico after Hurricane Maria. He's done [...]

IT ME

A Bay Area native encountering food from all over the Bay Area (and more on occasion!). I watch far too much TV for my own good, spend too many hours on the internet looking at clothes, memes, and Wikipedia, laugh a little too hard at celebrity gossip, drool at pictures of food and travel that my friends post on Facebook & Instagram, and sleep at the worst times possible.

I’m still working on perfecting my latte art, but my morning routine is essential while working from home. A big part of that is my morning coffee. It sounds corny, but the act of making a hot (or iced!) latte at my home cafe before settling down at my desk really sets the tone for the day. ⁣
Celebrated Lunar New Year with my niece and nephew last week! It was so fun seeing them dressed up in their hanbok, getting envelopes, and eating Korean food. Oh and eating too many of those colorful sweet rice cake balls. 🍡

A whole 2022 recap is a lot of work so here’s what some of what I ate in the fall/winter. 🍴
Very much looking forward to the end of 2022. 🥳⁣
August and September were good 🍴
