Popcorn “chicken” tofu

First and foremost, I hope everyone’s staying safe and healthy! Since I am lucky enough to be able to shelter in place at home, I’ve also craved all of my favorite things that I usually go out to get - and often with friends or my sister. And one of them is popcorn chicken - [...]

Concord Comfort Food Week 2020

I'm going to be honest - I don't venture further north of Berkeley very often. I've been to Concord a handful of times, so I was excited to explore a new city and see what kind of food it has to offer. And what better time than during Concord's Comfort Food Week? I am always [...]

Where to Eat on National Ice Cream Day

I've eat a lot of ice cream over the years! I love classic flavors like mint chocolate chip or trying artisanal ones that are available for a limited time. I also usually try to eat ice cream when I'm traveling - it's always fun to see what's happening in other parts of the country and [...]

IT ME

A Bay Area native encountering food from all over the Bay Area (and more on occasion!). I watch far too much TV for my own good, spend too many hours on the internet looking at clothes, memes, and Wikipedia, laugh a little too hard at celebrity gossip, drool at pictures of food and travel that my friends post on Facebook & Instagram, and sleep at the worst times possible.

A little chand raat at home ✨🌙 Chand Raat (which literally translates to “Moon Night”) is the night before Eid where people check to see if the new moon’s arrived - signaling that Ramadan is ending and Eid is here. In Pakistan and other South Asian countries, women will put mehndi on and do their last minute prep such as making dessert for the next day!
